If You Have Celiac, Your Life is About To Change
See those?
Those are the Best Cookie In The World.
If you don’t believe me, just ask the judges of The New York Fancy Food Show…because, as far as they’re concerned, the Minnie Beasley’s Handmade Almond Lace Gourmet Cookie, deserves the #1 spot, hands down.
And I’m making them the first WIP Contest Giveaway Prize. Here is the Contest Question…first one to answer correctly wins four bags of these amazing cookies: 2 Original recipe and 2 Gluten-free (you won’t be able to tell the difference)! Ready?
“To this place a sort of aged philosopher retired… Here he built his refuge, being a little weary of interrogating men.”
First one to leave a comment naming the book title and author of that quote wins the Minnie Beasleys Cookies! GO!! (Hint, it’s from one of my all-time favorite book series.)
I sampled one for the first time at a Christmas party several years ago. After dinner, we sat around the large table, catching up with one another as much as we could before our collective clocks struck twelve and we made our way home to relieve babysitters. But not before, over coffee, our friend Harmon inconspicuously placed on each or our saucers one of these cookies.
It should have been filmed. Because it would have been a perfectly candid and very effective commercial. As if on cue, conversations sputtered, given to their distraction, while murmurs thereafter erupted into various versions of Where In The World Did You Get These? We were shocked at what we’d just sampled. It was the most amazing cookie any of us had ever tasted, and we look back on that night, I do anyway, knowing it to be a turning point in Harmon’s vision to bring this delicacy to the world.
Several years later and it’s gotten national attention with more and more coming. It’s going to be one of those legends which exponentiate over night, once they fall into the right hands. Or mouths, as the case may be. Better still—and I think this is even bigger than all of the above—they’ve just created a Gluten-Free Minnie Beasleys.
GLUTEN-FREE.
And (and you can only appreciate this if you’ve ever been lucky enough to have ever tasted the originals), in a side-by-side taste test, no one…NO ONE…can tell the difference. Which is ground-breaking all by itself. Because (and you can only appreciate this if you’re lucky enough to have celiac disease) gluten-free snacks typically—scratch that—always taste horrible. And that’s being kind.
But all that’s about to change forever.
Soon, you’ll be able to find the Gluten-Free Minnie Beasley Almond Lace Gourmet Cookie in specialty shops around the country, as well as a major chain (not yet allowed to disclose the Very Well Known Name of that lucky store).
And if that didn’t stop your heart, this will: they’re also available in Original and Dutch Chocolate.

Contest? I’m in.
Excellent! Spread the word, and we’ll make this the first contest and start when we have ten participants!
something free and tasty???????? also, in.
Ho-ho-hooOOOoo you say that now! Just pray you don’t win—you’ll be ruined forever. Besides…we’re looking for competitive folk. I’m now sure you’re up for it.
*hee hee hee
Hey – how fun that you are having a contest! Do your neighbors get to be one of the winners. I love the cookies!
Absolutely! The cookies are amazing. Harmon brought them by last week so I could go over the new packaging with him. He challenged me to tell the difference between the Original recipe and the Gluten-free. I was never so happy about failing anything before in my life.
Looks great!

Ah, yes. It will be something so much fun and cool! Something like, “First one to buy Todd a fifth of Vodka wins! Yay!!”
Okay, kidding. It will be some random trivia question and not too hard (read: I like giving away stuff lol). Also, and this is important, you want to subscribe to the blog rss feed. That way, whenever WIP is updated, you’ll get a notice in your email. I need to double-check the blog today, in fact, to make sure I’ve got that ‘subscribe to rss’ obvious.
how do we sign into the feed? Can’t find it.
Working on that one today, Leanne.
I want those cookies bitch!

Arthur, Book Three of the Pendragon Cycle, by Stephen Lawhead
Wow. Nice guess, Jaci! Someone knows what I like to read! But, alas…that was not it. (Still, I just may have to award you for knowing I like Lawhead’s work!)
sidebar….i think billy needs anger management.
And he hasn’t even tasted these cookies…can you imagine how mad he’d be if he knew what he was missing? *shudders
Alright, folks…we’re officially calling this first Contest & Giveaway done and done. Congratulations to Lady B for getting close enough *rolls eyes* lol. The exact quote and author is from “The Beekeeper’s Apprentice” by Laurie R. King. A great book, a great author—and, if you can get your hands on them, great cookies! (Keep an eye out for next week’s contest coming next Monday.)
