A Summer of Everywhere

October 11, 2009

Sometimes, it’s a good time to turn around and look back at where you’ve come…at all the Life that got lived when you think Life has been suspended, to put it nicely.

The other day, going through photo albums, I was amazed at just how much our family had done in the last summer. In fact, in the last year. So, starting with a few panoramic shots (taken from the iPhone no less!), I’m going to share some of the best shots we have along with a few stories along the way…

That’s Beta Male running toward me on a trail up in the Tetons. I heard him call for me and, turning to see him coming, had my breath taken away at the grandeur.

05Up at Old Faithful. That shot isn’t her, but it’s one of her friends.

04Again at Teton National Forest. I felt like I was in Switzerland.

02Yellowstone National Park and one of its famous waterfalls. You have no idea who much I regretted not yet having the camera I want.

01I’m going to have to check with Cute Redhead on where this one was taken…I just remember the colors. The gang followed that river down to an amazing cascade of natural hot spring pools. I actually passed on that one, having had my fill of ‘togetherness’ for the duration. I made my way back into town and found a coffee shop to see about recalibrating my wits.

I have several hundred photos to sift through, so, ready or not, there’s more to come.
